Our Kinder students have been exploring the College campus. This is one of the ways they learn about community. The students understand they are in Kinder but that they are part of the larger Edinburgh College family.
They also recently visited their friends at a local aged care facility where they sang songs and presented each resident a special gift of handmade Aboriginal artwork. Both the children and the residents enjoyed their time together and the children are already preparing for their next visit.
The Kinder kids also love buddy time with students from Year 5 visiting each Thursday for 40 minutes of reading, playing and doing crafts.
“I really like Buddies. It’s fun to see our little Buddies learn and because we are older it’s great to be able to help them.” – Caitlin Campbell (Yr 5).
