It felt like it might snow last Wednesday but Year 9 students kept warm by climbing the rock faces and abseiling down Mt Sugarloaf in the Cathedral Ranges.
This was another ‘The Challenge’ activity, promoting resilience and teamwork. Everyone had a go and helped their friends in a successful day run by Halls Outdoor Company.
“I really liked the day. I got to do rock climbing which I’ve never done before. I wish we could do that for three days!”
– Charlie Smith
“I liked that we could have a day out of the classroom to face our fears. Trusting someone else to belay for me- that is really hard!”
– Anika Homann
